Welcome to Haus Scheuten!
Our family-run bed & breakfast hotel is located right in the heart of the green belt in the south of Duisburg.
Originally intended as a restaurant only for funeral receptions, my family has gradually expanded the house into a small hotel. Therefore the guest rooms can be found ‘here and there’ all over the building. From the lower ground floor all the way up under the roof. A bed and breakfast hotel for individualists, who prefer uncomplicated and ‘no frills’ accommodation rather than the ‘charms’ of a faceless hotel chain.
The Sportpark Wedau as well as the recreation area “Sechs-Seen-Platte” (Six-Lake-Plateau) are 5 minutes away by car or a brisk 25-minute walk through the Duisburg woods. Both, the BG clinic and the Sana clinic Duisburg are a similar distance away.
The S-Bahnhof “Buchholz” (local over-ground train station) and the underground stop “Duisburg Waldfriedhof” are located 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The Train line S1 (over-ground) will take you to Düsseldorf International Airport and the U79 on the underground line will take you to the Düsseldorf exhibition centre and into the famous old town. If you travel in the other direction you will reach Duisburg main station and so Duisburg’s inner city. From here you can enjoy a walk through town to the Innenhafen (inner harbour), where you will find museums, restaurants and bars and office buildings.
Our ‘Haus Scheuten” is located directly next to the city highway A59 and the motorway A3 exit Duisburg Wedau is only 8 minutes drive away.
Free parking is available at the parking lot onside the house.

For 2 generations we are hosting funeral receptions in our guest house and we have earned the right to call ourselves THAT regional locality for this function. We will offer our expertise, discuss your wishes with empathy and are able to offer flexibility to suit everyone’s needs. We guarantee consistent quality and a fair price-performance ratio.
As time progressed, we added a further service to our repertoire: our famous breakfast, which we start serving from 6 am. Start your day with hearty fare. We are sure you will be very happy with the variety we offer. If you require a second portion of any breakfast item, we will provide this free of charge. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available in unlimited quantity. As we will be ordering your breakfast rolls especially for you from our local baker, we ask that you make a timely reservation.
